eSIM Directory is an independent, ad-free comparison tool for global travel eSIMs. We help travelers find the best eSIM for their destination by comparing real-time pricing, network quality, and coverage — not just affiliate commissions.
Our Mission
Every time we traveled abroad, we found ourselves opening 15+ browser tabs to compare eSIM prices, data limits, and network coverage across Airalo, Saily, Yesim, MobiMatter, and a dozen other providers. The process was tedious, and most comparison sites were either outdated, ad-heavy, or secretly biased toward the highest-paying affiliate programs.
So we built eSIM Directory — a fast, clean, honest tool that shows you which provider uses which network (e.g., Airalo uses SoftBank in Japan, Saily uses KDDI), which plans support 5G and hotspot, and how much you're actually paying per GB. No login, no ads, no paywall.
Our Methodology
📊 Data Collection
Plan pricing and specs are scraped weekly using Apify's eSIMDB scraper, stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite at the edge), and served via Cloudflare Pages' global CDN. This ensures you always see current rates.
📡 Network Analysis
We identify the underlying roaming network for each provider in each country (e.g., "Airalo → SoftBank 4G" vs "Saily → KDDI 5G") and flag latency, coverage gaps, and 5G availability based on Opensignal data.
⚖️ Independent Ratings
Our star ratings are based on coverage breadth, pricing competitiveness, network quality, user reviews, and affiliate terms — not on which provider pays the highest commission. A 5% commission provider can outrank a 20% one if it's genuinely better.
🔄 Refresh Cycle
Data is refreshed weekly. Each page displays the last-updated date. If you spot outdated pricing, please let us know.

Our average commission rate across 8 partners is 11.9%. We participate in affiliate programs with: Airalo, Yesim, Saily, BlueSky eSIM, MobiMatter, SimOptions, uPhone, Maya Mobile.
Editorial independence: Our affiliate relationships do not influence our ratings or recommendations. We clearly list each provider's limitations alongside their highlights. If a provider offers us a higher commission but has worse coverage or pricing, we still rank it lower.
